While the servers are struggling to let in every player who wants to play and there's room for more polish, there's certainly more content planned for the future as Blizzard works to bring back the series with Diablo 4. However, Blizzard seemingly listened to player feedback and created a game that returned to the roots of the series and implemented features from the fan-favorite game, Diablo 2. The announcement of Diablo 4 brought some hesitation with it since both D3 and Diablo Immortal weren't well-received. When a nearby player defeats enemies, other players are also rewarded experience from it, and this can be an incentive to help others. However, helping other players has the benefit of granting shared experience.
Diablo 4 puts players in the same game even when playing solo, allowing solo players to help each other out if they come across each other to work on the same event on the map.
It’s much easier for my wife and I to play together on the PC, and that reason is big enough that it outweighs literally everything about the console experience that I prefer. The only reason I keep playing it on the PC Multiplayer. To play multiplayer in Diablo 3, players had to either join or host a public game, or play a private game with friends. Diablo 3 on consoles just streamlines this whole process.
